Windrose Bar & Grill

Local dive bar, we went in just for drinks. The staff were friendly, and the drinks were reasonably priced. They were having an event with representatives from the Long Drink company and that was fun. We got to spin the wheel once we bought a Long Drink and we were able to win merchandise. Definitely an old school bar, and strange that they allow smoking inside the bar. The Windrose bar was a great place to stop and get a cold drink after a day at the beach.

The food was delicious and the service was amazing.

Didn’t try the food. Had well whiskey and Budweiser. Great atmosphere :) a locals bar so no annoying tourists lol Was given no issues about having a large service dog - he was offered his own water :) Bar tender was amazing! Thank you again !

Tybee Island, Georgia --- "Wind Rose Cafe" is a winner of "best lunch" award & their meat loaf special was okay ... mashed potatoes with picket of gravy was not hot (but not cold ), but the quantity of lima beans & mini meat loaf were quite filling ... PLUS the side of toasted bread was deviously crunchy & tasty ... only 8.25 the bartender was delightfully personable with the customers, whether at bar, ordering on the phone ir sitting at a table ... their sign apparently blew down in a storm, so you gotta know where it's located ... "Wind Rose" sponsors the annual "bartender olympics" each February ... The “Wind Rose” is my favorite pARTy Stop for food, service & interactive customers. Outstanding patty melt. I mean...literally one of "those" dishes that I could eat every day if I lived on the island. I can't emphasize how much I enjoyed that particular sandwich/burger enough! The bleu cheese burger was quite amazing as well! Complements/hats off/standing ovation to the chef that cooked a perfect med rare for myself and medium for the gf's (had to make a pit stop by the kitchen on the way out to show love)! He absolutely NAILED it!

We got the daily special (Fried chicken, mash potatoes and green beans). The mashed potatoes were delicious and some of the beat I have ever eaten and the fried chicken was great!

Food was delicious. It is 21 so we had to order to go but enjoyed walking around the area while waiting. Was perfect for 8:30 at night when most places were closing down.

What an absolute gem! Don't be fooled. This may be a bar but the food doesn't taste like bar food. It's much better! We were walking back from the beach and saw a sign for their taco special so we stopped in. We split the HUGE 2 taco chips & salsa platter and also split the spinach artichoke dip with pretzels. Everything was delicious. The tacos were surprisingly quite large and full of flavor! Chicken, red onion, corn, cheese, and Chipotle mayo. They could not have been better. The salsa was Mexican restaurant quality. The spinach dip was so creamy and flavorful. We got way more pretzel bites than I anticipated. This was a great appetizer! We had a very poor restaurant meal the night before so this was much needed and appreciated! Reasonable prices, large portions, friendly service, fun decor/atmosphere. 10/10.....I would visit again and again!
